Amel Bakli was the governor of Caprioril, a normally tranquil planet in the Core Worlds, during the waning days of the Galactic Republic. He was killed by an assassin droid, along with 20,000 swoop race spectators, as the droid considered their wholesale murder the most efficient way to assassinate the governor.
