"An Examination and Exploration of a Most Dangerous and Resilient Organism" was an academic paper written by Doctor Osaf Hamud about the little-known orbalisk, a dangerous parasite. In 990 BBY, Sith apprentice Darth Zannah, disguised as a Jedi, found the document in the Jedi Temple Archives while searching for a way for her Master, Darth Bane, to remove the orbalisks attached to his body.
The paper described the medical procedure by which orbalisks could be removed, as well as more general information on the parasites.
