Anabar was a male Human merchant who lived in the city of Mos Espa on the planet of Tatooine during the blockade of Naboo. He sold bowls of dweezel and baskets of pallie just outside of the Mos Espa Arena and was an acquaintance of fellow merchant, Grendle. Grendle recommended Anabar to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn when the Jedi sought something "a little more dangerous" than chokie. Anabar refused to give the Jedi Master a Plasma Fusion Trigger or a Proton Missile Launcher, but did not mind giving Qui-Gon a thermal detonator instead. Despite rejecting Qui-Gon's credits at first, he soon changed his mind thanks to his customer's Jedi mind tricks.
