Anabar was a human merchant who lived in the city of Mos Espa on the planet of Tatooine during the Blockade of Naboo. He sold bowls of dweezel and baskets of pallie just outside of the Mos Espa Arena and was an acquaintance of fellow merchant, Grendle. Grendle recommended Anabar to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn when the wise Jedi sought something "a little more dangerous" than chokie. Anabar refused to give the Jedi Master a Plasma Fusion Trigger or a Proton Missile Launcher, but didn't mind giving Qui-Gon a thermal detonator instead. Despite rejecting Qui-Gon's Republic Credits at first, he soon changed his mind thanks to the wise one's Jedi Mind Tricks.
