The Anaxsi were the Human residents of Anaxes. They were fervently loyal to the Galactic Republic and later the Galactic Empire and the planet was one large Imperial Navy training and staging ground.

The Anaxsi were members of the Azure Imperium and Anaxes was the chief shipyard and fortress. During the Galactic Civil War, the Anaxsi showed such loyalty to the Empire that hostility existed towards the Rebel Alliance. The Anaxsi had a strong incline toward navy duty and therefore were among the strongest supporters of the Imperial Navy until eventually being one of the last Core planets to fall to the New Republic.
