An ancient Sith Temple was believed to have existed in the planet Lamaredd as of circa 517 BBY.

At that point, many of the fishing trawlers that made most of the economy of the then-young city of Bartyn's Landing suddenly disappeared in the open sea, without any loss of transponder. As the situation was unexplained, some citizens of Bartyn's Landing rumored that the sailors had discovered this Sith temple and that a Dark Lord of the Sith had captured the trawlers in a scheme to use it for an assault on their city. The real reason was much more mundane.
