Angry Birds Star Wars is a video game released for iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Mac, personal computer, and Windows Phone on November 8, 2012.[1] The game features various characters that resemble Star Wars characters, such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Imperial stormtroopers, Tusken Raiders, Yoda, and other characters. It is a game in the popular Angry Birds app series, and the second based on another franchise.[5]

On October 29, 2013, the game was released on gaming consoles.[2] Along with Angry Birds Star Wars II, Angry Birds Star Wars was discontinued in March 2020.[3]

After an message published in early February 2020[6], the game closed its ingame shop and advertising in March 2020, and was removed from app stores. Player support continued to be provided until the end of 2020.[3]

Sequel[]

On July 15, 2013, Angry Birds Star Wars II was announced.[7] It was released on September 18, 2013.[8]
