Ansarra was a planet in the Ansarra system of the Mid Rim.

HistoryEdit

Discovered sometime after 3,000 BBY, Ansarra was a member of the Galactic Republic during the New Sith Wars. Remaining loyal to the Galactic Senate during the Clone Wars, Ansarra became a member of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY. During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance established a base on the planet, with the bounty hunter Devon Fuller making supply runs on behalf of the Alliance. Discovering the base, the Empire sent a Star Destroyer to the world and leveled the base. During the fighting, Fuller's ship, the Freebooter, was destroyed; Fuller made it out alive and compensated for his loss by the Alliance.^[3]

Avoiding attack during the Yuuzhan Vong War, the New Republic world joined the Galactic Alliance as the Republic faltered, and as of 137 ABY was conquered by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.^[2]

The planet Ansarra was created for the ninth issue of the Galaxy Guide, published in 1993. It was later listed on a coordinates chart in the The Essential Atlas.
