"Missiles armed!"
―Imperial Missile Launcher Trooper[src]

Anti-air troopers were troopers deployed by the Galactic Empire to defend against aerial ships. They were trained to have incredible accuracy and stamina, as they were required to carry a missile launcher over long distances. Heavy anti-air troopers were a variant with two launchers.

Anti-air troopers wore the standard black boots worn by most Imperials, in addition to a tan jumpsuit. They also wore pads on their knees and elbows, black gauntlets, as well as armor on their chest. A utility belt held most of their gear. A gray helmet outfitted with a chinstrap and goggles finished off the uniform. Anti-air troopers carried a missile launcher for use against starfighters, while Heavy anti-air troopers carried two. These troopers were vulnerable against other troopers and ground vehicles.

Anti-air troopers were deployed on battlefields during the Galactic Civil War.

Darth Vader ordered the recruitment of additional troopers from troop centers during the war to use in battle against the Rebel Alliance.

Behind the scenesEdit

Anti-air troopers are the Galactic Empire's anti-air unit in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its 2002 expansion pack. They are provided to the player in several missions during the Galactic Empire campaign, and more may be built at troop centers for 35 units of food and 35 units of carbon.
