"Missiles armed!"
―Imperial Missile Launcher Trooper[1]

The missile launcher troopers, also known as anti-air troopers, were troopers deployed by the Galactic Empire to defend against aerial ships. They were trained to have incredible accuracy and stamina, as they were required to carry a missile launcher over long distances. Armored missile troopers, or heavy anti-air troopers, were a variant with two launchers.

Missile launcher troopers wore the standard black boots worn by most Imperials, in addition to a tan jumpsuit. They also wore pads on their knees and elbows, black gauntlets, as well as armor on their chest. A utility belt held most of their gear. A gray helmet outfitted with a chinstrap and goggles finished off the uniform. Anti-air troopers carried a missile launcher for use against starfighters, while Heavy anti-air troopers carried two. These troopers were vulnerable against other troopers and ground vehicles.
