The anti-magnetic polarization ray gun was a weapon devised by Prince Denid on the planet Tantajoc V. The weapons were necessary to destroy the local predators which had a powerful healing mechanism that made them immune to most attacks. When Denid was finally discovered by Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, he used this type of weapon to kill a predator that was pursuing the two Rebels.
