The Apailana's Promise was a Braha'tok-class gunship that served the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. It collectively owed the Sixty-First Mobile Infantry 50,000 credits and served as an escort to their CR90 corvette, the Thunderstrike, and carried the company's two X-wings. Its first commanding officer was Commander Tohna and its second in command was first officer Sharn.
During the Mid Rim Retreat, the gunship helped the Sixty-First in many battles including the Coyerti campaign and the raid on an Imperial heavy freighter. In 3 ABY, the Apailana's Promise and the Thunderstrike went to a rebel flotilla in the Elochar sector where a dozen ships including the Sixmoon were stationed. They stayed there until a handful of Imperial spies infiltrated the Thunderstrike and the flotilla had to scatter. After retaking the Thunderstrike, both ships fled the system and narrowly evading the Imperial Star Destroyer Herald. With all the Sixty-First officers and most of the Thunderstrike bridge crew gone, Tohna was reassigned to the Thunderstrike. He was replaced by Sharn.
The Sixty-First then started Operation Ringbreaker where they and the Apailana's Promise attacked numerous Imperial facilities until the Thunderstrike was shot down on Sullust. The gunship and its X-wings then fled the system until returning to assist the Sixty-First in the Siege of Inyusu Tor.
In the battle it kept the Herald distracted whilst the ground battle raged on below. By the end of the battle, the laser batteries were drained and the deflector shields were overheated but the gunship survived the battle.
