The Apprentice Legislature was an organization for politically-minded youth. It had offices on many different planets, including Alderaan, Naboo and Thesme.

Padmé Amidala joined this group at the age of eight and achieved the position of Apprentice Legislator at the age of eleven.^[1] Amidala's friend and fellow Legislator, Silya Shessaun, first met her at a summit on Alderaan, and acted as her mentor during a week-long political workshop hosted by the organization.^[2]
