The Aramal system was a star system that was located within the Ryborean sector, a part of the galactic regions known as the Expansion Region[1] and the Northern Dependencies.[2] A hyperlane connected the system to the world of Neshtab and the Ryborea system, while another hyperspace route linked Aramal system to the Coth Fuuras and Doshan systems. The Aramal system fell within the borders of the New Republic between the years 12 ABY and 13 ABY.[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Aramal system was established in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart. The Essential Atlas Online Companion later placed the system in grid square J-8.

  2. 2.0 2.1 SWCustom-2011 Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion on StarWars.com (article) (backup link) places the Aramal system in the grid square J-8 and within the Expansion Region's Ryborean sector. It also depicts that sector as lying in the trailing direction from the hyperlane The Essential Atlas identifies as the Namadii Corridor. Additionally, The Essential Atlas depicts the square J-8 part of the Expansion Region that lies trailing relative to the Namadii Corridor as being located in the Northern Dependencies region of the galaxy. Using this information, it can be deduced that the Aramal system must also be a part of the Northern Dependencies.
