Arcade games, commonly referred to as video games were large systems that could play 2-D, and sometimes 3-D games. Many Star Wars games were in the form of arcade games, such as the older games based on the original movies in the 1980's, which were either completely black, or included colorized outlining. The Star Wars arcade games based on the movies also appeared as bonus award mini-games in Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike.
