Are You Scared, Darth Vader? currently holds a rating of 4.8/5 stars on Amazon.com as of December 19, 2018, with 33 five-star reviews and 5 four-star reviews.[2] Amazon chose the title as one of its best children's books for the year 2018 for children in the age range of 6-8.[3] A review by Sheila Wright of the Star Wars fan-site Fantha Tracks expressed appreciation for the book's use of classic villains and felt that the title expressed seeming simplicity which nevertheless showed Vader's dimensions.[4]
