The Aridinia system was a star system that was located in the Inner Rim[1] and Trailing Sectors regions of the galaxy.[2] The system was the origin point of the Aridinian folk music,[3][4] which was infamous for causing Human ears to bleed after just a few notes and was strictly regulated outside the system as a result.[5]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Aridinia system was established in early 2011 in The Essential Atlas Online Companion. The Online Companion placed the system in grid square M-13.[1]

The Essential Atlas depicts territory falling in that grid square as being located either in the Southern Core region of the galaxy or in the territory shared by the Trailing Sectors and Inner Rim regions. Since The Essential Atlas Online Companion establishes the Aridinia system to be a part of the Inner Rim, it therefore must also be part of the Trailing Sectors.

Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Aridinian folk music in relation to the Aridinia system.
