Arkanian Microtechnologies

Arkanian Microtechnologies (also called Arkanian Micro) was a medical supplies and technology manufacturing corporation based on Vohai, with a branch near Novania, Arkania. They specialized in genetic engineering.

During the Clone Wars, Arkanian Microtechnologies attempted to produce a cheaper clone trooper for the Galactic Republic. The technology developed by the company for this new breed of trooper, which did not involve cloning, was later implented by Emperor Palpatine to create Force-sensitive clones from the genetic material of Sa Cuis, in an effort to produce a small army of Dark Jedi.

All future orders for Sa Cuis clones were cancelled, due to the fact that a small number of them under the leadership of former Emperor's Hand Sheyvan rebelled. The rebellion was quickly put down and all the clones destroyed.
