An armored defense platform was a battlestation designed to protect star systems from outside threats.

CharacteristicsEdit

They had little maneuverability but were heavily armed with twenty-eight turbolasers, five proton torpedoes and six tractor beam projectors. They were most effective dealing with pirate raids and fleeing smuggling ships. They were typically more then 1,200 meters long, with a crew of 325 individuals.
