An armored groundcar was a groundcar that had been modified or built with heavy armor for infantry transit and patrol in military situations. It was a cheap solution, however, as the maneuverability of wheeled vehicles was far inferior to that of their repulsorlift counterparts. On Haruun Kal, armored groundcars were used by the Balawai militia of Pelek Baw.
