Artel Darc was a Human Dark Acolyte, who worked for Count Dooku during the Clone Wars.

Darc was in charge of the Separatist forces on Dagu, where he enslaved the Rybet inhabitants. The Jedi Shaak Ti and her forces attacked Dagu. Shaak Ti killed Darc and freed the Rybet. The Battle of Dagu was won for the Galactic Republic.

These events were going to be made into the novel Escape from Dagu, but it was cancelled. However, events in this novel entered continuity by being referred to in other media, specifically the Fact Files.
