Artists were individuals who created original works of art. In the days of the Galactic Republic, the Colonial Academy offered art classes.[3] Following the rise of the Galactic Empire, Mandalorian artist Sabine Wren became notorious for painting rebellious graffiti as a form of propaganda.[9] Chefs sufficiently skilled at cooking considered their work to be art.[13]
