Aruden Kej was a Jedi Knight serving the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order during the Separatist Crisis which threatened to tear the Galactic Senate apart in the final years of the Republic Classic era.

BiographyEdit

Discovered at an early age to be Force-sensitive, Aruden Kej was taken to the Coruscant Jedi Temple for training in the ways of the Force. A student at the Temple's academy, Kej graduated after years of study and was selected as a Padawan by a Jedi Master for one-on-one training. Eventually, Kej was ready to take the Trials of Knighthood and was made a Jedi Knight by the Jedi High Council. As a Knight of the Republic Kej continued studies on the Jedi Path, choosing to pursue the way of the Jedi Guardian. Becoming a ace pilot within the Order's starfighter corps, Kej was a well respected Jedi.^[1]

Active during the Separatist Crisis between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Kej was assigned to a strike force sent to deal with the Pirates of Iridium which were harrying the Atrivis sector. Under the leadership of Masters Belsed-Qan Idan and Kit Fisto, Kej piloted a Delta-7 interceptor amongst the Republic diplomatic fleet hoping to encourage a non-violent solution. However, as the Republic cruiser the Monitor III moved into the sector, the fleet was attacked by the pirates. Engaging the Pirates' warpod pinnaces, Longprow attack cruisers, and Z-95 Headhunter starfighters, Kej and five other Jedi were able to bat back the pirates and saved the Monitor III from utter destruction. While the pirates were defeated in the end, Kej was killed in a dogfight with a Z-95 Headhunter while making an attack run on the Longprow cruisers.^[1]
