[edit] Biography
Cohl was a freedom fighter who helped the people of Mirial fight a war against a neighboring planet. However, foul politics were at play, and Cohl was thrown into prison for allegedly being a conspirator against his own people.
After being freed from prison many years later, Cohl swore revenge against those who betrayed him, and became a hardened mercenary. His ship, the Hawk-Bat, was well known across the Outer Rim Territories. In 33 BBY, Cohl was contracted by the Nebula Front to attack a Trade Federation capital ship. The mission was part of an elusive scheme of Darth Sidious' that involved the strengthening of the Trade Federation.
Eru Matalis tried to kill him on Eriadu in an attempt to throw off the trail of the Judicial Department and Jedi Knights who were trailing them. Cohl did not die immediately, however, and was able to help Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi end Matalis's plot (and kill Matalis) before he succumbed to his wounds. Many of his wounds were inflicted, when he had his last battle with Havac.
