Ashala Ma-dred was one of the four wives of King Sha-Mar Ma-dred of Kashir. When the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker were asked by the King to help in protecting his wives, Ashala stole Skywalker's lightsaber while he was distracted by her beauty. Unknown to both, Kenobi had used the Force to recover the lightsaber and only returned it once Skywalker admitted to its disappearance.
