Ashla (Jedi)

Ashla was a Jedi youngling who lived and trained at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant prior to and during the Clone Wars.

A Togruta female from Shili, she was a member of the Bear Clan, and trained under Master Yoda for a time. During her training, Ashla carried a blue lightsaber.

Ashla is also an ancient name for the light side of the Force.

One common misconception is that Ashla is one and the same individual as Ahsoka Tano. This widespread mistake came into existence because the two are of the same species and Ashla's name is not well known. Leland Chee has stated they are not the same character, and could not be as their ages do not match up.^[1]
