The Assassination of Darth Azamin was a battle of the Great Galactic War. Towards the end of the war, a Jedi strike team infiltrated the stronghold of Darth Azamin, one of the more powerful Dark Councilor, and killed him; many suspect that Darth Decimus, successor of Azamin in the Dark Council, aided the strike team on their mission in order to remove a powerful rival, releasing information about the location and the defenses of the building, but these suspicions were never proven. The Jedi all perished when the ship they used to escape exploded due to a mechanical malfunction that was most likely due to sabotage.
