The Assault on Kile II was a battle during the Galactic Civil War. A major Imperial facility was hidden in the canyons of Kile II. Rogue Squadron was sent to destroy the facility with BTL Y-wing starfighters to slow down Imperial activity in the sector. The facility consisted of three sections: the sensor array, the troop garrisons, and the Kile II spaceport. Upon arriving, Rogue Squadron bombed the spaceport, inflicting major damage to it. Their victory was a mixed blessing, though. Wedge Antilles's Y-wing was shot down by TIE/In interceptors; he was captured and forced aboard an evacuation shuttle and shipped to Kessel. Rogue Squadron then hurried to his rescue.
