Astaroth appeared on a volcanic planet in one of Yoda's vision, approaching the sword Soul Edge. He later faced off against Yoda on a mysterious planet wielding a giant axe.

Astaroth was a monstrous sight to behold; he was a hulking, golem-like figure with purple armor and red cracks spreading across his body from a crimson jewel in the center of his chest.

Astaroth was pitted against Yoda as an introduction for Yoda's appearance in the fighting game Soulcalibur IV.
