Asyyyriaks were vicious arboreal creatures native to Kashyyyk. They spent most of their time high above the forest floor, using branches to travel among the trees.^[1]

The brown-skinned body of an Asyyyriak was covered entirely with long, brown and green hair, useful for camouflage amongst the stringy forest moss. Adult Asyyyriaks averaged one to two meters in length.^[1]

Asyyyriaks were great hunters, preying primarily upon avians and small arboreal animals.^[1] During the Kashyyyk's cold season, Asyyyriaks hibernated; however, they stalked the forests during the warmer seasons, sometimes attacking vulnerable young Wookiees.
