Athakam Medtech

Athakam Medtech was a major bio-technology corporation which worked closely with the Rhinnal State Medical Academy to develop medical tools. It was also the galaxy's biggest supplier of medical supplies.

Some of Athakam's experiments went towards development of chemical weapons, but by the time of the Galactic Civil War the company had returned to its pacifistic roots (namely due to the high costs of chemical weapons research) and even secretly supplied the Rebel Alliance with medical supplies for their war effort, despite the company's stated neutrality. A well-known product was the Athakam II med unit.
