"Ten years ago, the colony was attacked by the Sith. My family was killed. They never fought back. The Sith crushed them, the way you might step on a bug."
―Fideltin Rusk[src]

In the year 3651 BBY, during the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic,[1] the forces of the Sith Empire attacked a colony of Chagrian pacifists[3] on the planet Mindor.[2] The colony, which included the parents of Sergeant Fideltin Rusk of the Republic Military, refused to fight back against anyone who attempted to take advantage of them, and the Sith Empire easily destroyed the defenseless colony.[1] The death of his family greatly affected Rusk, driving him to become incredibly reckless with the lives of the soldiers under his command.[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

The colony's destruction was first mentioned in Rusk's entry on The Holonet, a section of the official site for the BioWareLucasArts video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, released in 2011.[3] Sergeant Rusk, a companion character for the game's Jedi Knight class, further expands on the attack in the companion conversation "Passive Resistance,"[1] and the 2012 reference guide Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia identified Mindor as Rusk's homeworld and the site of the colony.[2]
