The Attack on the Queen of Empire occured in 25 ABY. Reck Desh and the Peace Brigade used a dovin basal to take the Queen of Empire, which was en route to Bilbringi to relocate refugees from the Battle of Ord Mantell, out of hyperspace early. Reck Desh's CR90 corvette, which had been fitted with a dovin basal then came up alongside the vehicle and boarded it via shuttles.

The purpose of the attack was for Reck Desh to prove that he was worthy in the eyes of the Yuuzhan Vong by returning one of their agents that had been "captured" by the New Republic, Elan and Vergere. After capturing and boarding the ship, They took over the bridge and told the passengers they would be spared if they were to bring forth Elan and Vergere. When they were not brought forward, they threatened to release prisoners into vacuum. But at that point the Thurse had reverted into realspace and had launched New Republic snubfighters to combat coralskippers that had been launched from a Yuuzhan Vong Frigate that was also present to watch over Reck Desh. However the Yuuzhan Vong had other plans and ended up ruining Reck's attack and indirectly ending Reck's life.
