Warning: This infobox is missing the following parameters: conc, unit2, civilian, unit1 With the Imperial outpost in the Vergesso Asteroids fallen, the Third Battle of Tatooine started when the Alliance fleet moved from the Vergesso asteroids to Tatooine.
The battle
Alliance Commandos infiltrated an Imperial base, took down the shields, and allowed bombing runs to take place, but suffered several casualties at the hands of Boba Fett, who was hired by the Empire to guard the base at the time. After the shields were brought down, Y-Wings were used to destroy the Imperial base. Then GR-75 transports landed near by and dispatched Rebel soldiers who then moved into the area to clean up any heavy resistance. Boba Fett escaped however. Many stormtroopers were taken captive and their base destroyed.
