- "Wow. Place has taken a beating since we were here last."
"Pol Temm tried enforcing his "no weapons" rule with a Sith Destroyer—ain't been seen since. The new admin, Attatag Gosem, don't much care about rules." - ―Cade Skywalker and Jariah Syn
Attatag Gosem was a male Gotal who lived[1] during the Second Imperial Civil War.[2] A known spy and information broker, he was believed to work with the One Sith.[1] In 138 ABY, Gosem became the administrator of the Wheel,[2] a space station in the Besh Gorgon system.[3] As Pol Temm, the previous administrator, had disappeared after trying to enforce his "no weapons" policy with a Sith Destroyer, Gosem largely did away with imposing rules. The Wheel accordingly fell into a state of disrepair.[2] Gosem himself carried a blaster pistol.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
- "With Gosem, the character had potential storylines that would have played out but there just wasn't room to get them in. Every good character should be capable of developing storylines, I think."
- ―John Ostrander
Attatag Gosem was created by John Ostrander and Jan Duursema for the comic series Star Wars: Legacy. A picture and short informative blurb about him appeared in the June 2006 reference book Star Wars: Legacy 0, which introduced many of the series' primary characters and other elements.[1] Everything that was showcased in Legacy 0 went on to play a role in the series, save for Gosem, who failed to appear in a single issue of Legacy during its fifty-issue run. Ostrander later stated that he and Duursema had had storylines in mind for the character, but that there had ultimately been no room to fit them in[4] to existing stories which already featured Legacy's large ensemble cast.[5] Gosem was finally referenced in the third issue of Legacy's followup miniseries, Star Wars: Legacy—War.[2]
