[edit] Biography
A male Kajain'sa'Nikto, Ausar was on friendly terms with A'Sharad Hett (and had been so with Hett's father Sharad as well), and the two fought Morgukai clones side by side during the Siege of Saleucami. Hett wondered if fighting other Nikto bothered Auset, but Auset replied that the Morgukai were elitists disfavored by other Nikto, and that he was not bothered, emphasizing the fact that he viewed himself as a Jedi first and a Nikto second.
Auset was later killed in the battle. Hett mourned Auset, speaking his name at the funeral of Oppo Rancisis.
[edit] Behind the scenes
Comic writer John Ostrander based his name after Dark Horse Comics forum member ausar_auset.[1] Ostrander speculated that Auset was born in 75 BBY.[2]
It is likely that the forum member's name was derived from ancient Egyptian mythology. The name Ausar is one of the transliterations of the name of the Egyptian god of the dead, Osiris, and Auset is one of the transliterations of the name of Osiris' wife, Isis. [3] [4]
