Biography
Edit
Discovered to by Force-sensitive on his homeworld of Chandrila, Avan Post was taken to the Coruscant Jedi Temple for training in the ways of the Force. Elevated to the rank of Jedi Master, Master Post took on the young Initiate Olana Chion as his Padawan in 33 BBY.[1]
When the Clone Wars erupted between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems in 22 BBY, Master Post took up the rank of Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic. Accompanying Master Shaak Ti on a mission to Ando, he fought valiantly in the battle, destroying seven Hardcell-class interstellar transports of the Techno Union. While Master Post perished during the battle, the Master was posthumously decorated for his services.[1] The curator of the Galactic Museum on Coruscant, Asran Headows, decided to open an exhibition to honor Post and other Jedi victims of the Clone Wars during this time; though the wing was sealed after the rise of the Galactic Empire.[2]
Legacy
Edit
By 6 ABY, nearly thirty years after his death, future Jedi Corran Horn would discover the exhibit dedicated to Master Post. Having escaped the Imperial prison, the Lusankya, Horn activated a hologram of the Jedi Master, still in working order, and viewed a detailed history of his career.[2]
