Avilés is a city in Asturias, Spain. Ian Edginton used this name in Honor Bound after he went to the Salón del Cómic de Avilés, a well-known Spanish Comic Con. Other names influenced by Edginton's visit were Lorca Oviedo and Asturias. Other people as George Pérez, Superman's illustrator, have visited Avilés during this Comic Con.
