The avka was a large avian predatory native to Durace in the Unknown Regions.

Biology and appearanceEdit

Their young matured in two meter tall rock-like eggs that shattered into shrapnel when the hatching inside broke out. The new hatchlings were born blind and extremely hungry, and could detect prey through tremors in the surface. Adult avka were extremely strong and tough, with long claws that could cause considerable damage to airspeeders and starships
