[edit] Biography
Towards the end of his career as a Jedi, Awdrysta began to hunt the Dark Jedi Arden Lyn. Lyn was part of the cult known as the Followers of Palawa as well as a practioner of the teräs käsi form of fighting. Lyn, afluent in the ways of the dark side had been using forbidden powers to terrorize the galaxy's populace.
When Awdrysta cornered Arden Lyn, he was prepared to strike her down, however Lyn used a powerful Kashi Mer talisman to destroy Awdrysta. Before succuming to his wounds, Awdrysta employed the secret Jedi technique of morichro to cease all of Lyn's body functions, ultimately resulting in the stoppage of her heart. However, Awdrysta's efforts were in vain, and Lyn was able to survive the attack on her body appearing over 24,000 years later during the Great Jedi Purge.
In battle, Pina favored twin Jedi katanas, employing the Jar'Kai fighting technique.
[edit] Behind the scenes
According to The Emperor's Pawns author Abel G. Peña, Pina's name originally was "Waldan L'lacielo," an anagram of fellow author Daniel Wallace. This name was changed in editing; Peña later went on to split the anagram and use it for the first names of General Grievous's victims Waldan Bridger and L'lacielo Sageon.[1]
