Axion was a Human colony planet purchased by the Colicoids prior to the Clone Wars. It was then that it became a research and development center for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Battle of Axion took place there in 22 BBY, four months after the Battle of Geonosis. Years later, pirate Reginald Barkbone escaped the Imperial Royal Guards by flying away in the midst of the destruction caused by a limpet mine he had attached to a power droid.
