"You know the modifications I made—and you showed me a few tricks yourself. I know I can outmaneuver anything the Rendili put down."
Anakin Skywalker to Saesee Tiin[src]

The Azure Angel II was a modified Jedi Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor piloted by Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars.

[edit] History

After Anakin ceased using the original Azure Angel following its destruction on Yavin 4[1], he personally customized a new one to suit his tastes and, like the first, named it in honor of his secret wife, Padmé Amidala.

The ship was nearly lost in a space battle above Praesitlyn, in which it defeated several droid starfighters, an enemy destroyer, and the Separatist flagship Corpulentus. It also participated in the Battle of Rendili, disabling the command Dreadnaught cruiser in the Rendili fleet. It also came equipped with a very light shield generator and its own hyperdrive, meaning it did not require a hyperdrive ring.

As of the Battle of Coruscant, it is thought this starfighter may have been stationed on Coruscant.

[edit] Behind the scenes

The Azure Angel II, or an identical starfighter, is visible on a Coruscant landing pad in one of the levels of the Revenge of the Sith video game, albeit only in the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance versions. This suggests that it may have survived at least until the end of the Clone Wars.
