The Azure Imperium was an ancient political institution centered on the planet Axum. It long predated the Old Republic, but was eventually assimilated peacefully into the Republic.

Anaxes was its primary shipyard and fortress planet, with the Anaxes Citadel being the true symbol of military might for the Imperium.
