Biography
Edit
A Force-sensitive Twi'lek, B'ink Utrila was educated in the ways of the Force by the Jedi Order, eventually attaining the rank of Jedi Master. Appointed as a instructor at the Coruscant Jedi Temple, Master Utrila taught at the Temple academy and was a familiar face to Master Shaak Ti.[1]
When the Clone Wars erupted between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Master Utrila was forced to take up her lightsaber and accept the rank of General in the Grand Army of the Republic. Surviving until the end of the war, Master Utrila was stationed on Coruscant when Supreme Commander Grievous of the Separatist Droid Army invaded the capital and attempted to abduct Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
Dispatched from the Temple with Masters Roron Corobb, Foul Moudama, and Roth-Del Masona, the group was tasked with protecting the Chancellor in his secret bunker where Masters Shaak Ti and Stass Allie had managed to take him. Deep within the bunker, the Jedi guarded the Chancellor, even as Grievous descended and attacked. The cyborg made short work of her comrades and fear encroached on her calm as Grievous toyed with her. As the General let Utrila gain a little ground, he put her out of her misery with a stab to the heart.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
B'ink Utrila first appeared purely as an image in the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook, but was used as an unnamed character for the first time in James Luceno's Labyrinth of Evil. She was named through Abel Peña's Unknown Soldier.[2]
Though in Labyrinth, she appeared as one of Chancellor Palpatine's bodyguards, she did not appear in the television series Clone Wars, which chronicles the same events.
In the adventure Tempest Feud, three Force Adept Twi'lek triplet sisters appear, named Dai Utrila, Koya Utrila and Rihn Utrila, serving the Hutt Mika Anjiliac Chiera. These characters do not have a specific era, as the adventure was designed to be set anywhere between 100 BBY and 40 ABY, but they might be related to Jedi Utrila.
