Between 19 and 7 years before the Battle of Yavin, the Galactic Empire built a bacteriological research outpost in the capital city of Haxim's kingdom on Falleen. In 7 BBY, a toxic flesh-eating bacterium escaped from the city, spreading quickly. The Empire decided to bombard the city to contain the bacterium, destroying the research outpost.
