Baffle was a BFL labor droid activated at the Fondor Shipyards. He eventually ended up on Ruan in service to Salliche Ag, and was on the verge of the being deactivated. Baffle formed a plan for a massive droid demonstration, and was able to put it into effect thanks to help from Han Solo. In return, he helped Solo rescue the incarcerated Droma and locate the destination of the Trevee.

Han initially mistook Baffle to be Bollux, and became convinced that the two were one and the same. Baffle, however, denied the possibility.
