The Bakuran Resistance was a resistance group that operated on Bakura during the Galactic Civil War in response to the Imperial invasion in 1 ABY. Due to Bakura's small population and the rather lenient occupation imposed by Governor Wilek Nereus, the resistance movement on Bakura was small and consisted of about a hundred members.
Following the Ssi-ruuvi invasion in 4 ABY and the subsequent truce between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, members of the resistance cooperated with the Alliance. Under the leadership of Eppie Belden, members of the resistance captured Nereus and overpowered his Stormtrooper bodyguard during the Battle of Bakura.
