Baron Administrator was the title of whoever was in charge of Cloud City on Bespin and other comparable facilities. Little is known of the history of the title and position of Baron Administrator; the position may have been hereditary, appointed, or elected, or any combination of these methods at different times. Given the noble connotations of the title baron and the noble origins of the founder Ecclessis Figg and his wife Yarith of Alderaan, the title may have originated as a hereditary position. By 3 ABY, the Baron Administrator was Lando Calrissian, who had won the title and position from his predecessor, Dominic Raynor, in a game of sabacc.

This title was later used by Daran Tal when he came into control of the Crystal Web Station, and was further implemented for the ruler of the platform city of Cularin.

The post of Baron Administrator was symbolized by a belt with a distinctive buckle design. An Aeien silk cape was also often used as a symbol of the office.
