Barseg was a planet colonized by sleeper ships sometime after 27,500 BBY^[1]. It was initially a member of the Kingdom of Cron and was later absorbed into Xim's empire. After the empire's collapse, Baseg became the capital of the Kingdom of Barseg, a member of the Galactic Republic, located in the Allied Tion sector. The Kingdom long included Lianna. The Lianna providences of Caldara and Berene led the last great independence war on Lianna against Barseg, which resulted in the annihilation of both provinces. The plight of Lianna was ignored by the Galactic Senate until the Senate itself took control of Lianna from Barseg in 300 BBY.
