Batorine was the forested homeworld of the Blood Carver species. It joined the Galactic Republic in 110 BBY.
After it was attacked by the Lontars, many of its residential tribes moved to Coruscant to seek refuge as artisans. In their carvings, they used the red wood of the blood tree indigenous to Batorine.
