Battle droid 513 was used by the Death Watch Mandalorians for target practice. This particular droid was created from the cobbled remains of a Retail Caucus LR-57 combat droid, a standard battle droid, and a LM-432 crab droid, with a deep Vocabulator often begging for pity or mercy. After he and the other droids that the Death Watch used as target practice had been repaired by R2-D2, 513 wished to repay Artoo in any way. When Artoo saw that Ahsoka Tano had been taken prisoner, Artoo told 513 they were going to save Ahsoka in which 513 began to prepare the droids. After Artoo freed Ahsoka and Lux Bonteri and they got out of the shelter that they were in, they saw 513 and the other droid forces were ready to assist the young Togruta Jedi and her friends. During the battle, a Death Watch member used their Jetpack to fly onto 513's head and repeatedly shot him until he collapsed and stopped functioning.
