Battle droid squad 8313 was a B1 battle droid squad carried aboard a C-9979 landing craft. The squad was deployed during the[1] Invasion of Naboo in the year 32 BBY.[2] The young Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi sneaked onboard the landing craft after escaping the Saak'ak. On the order of his Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, Kenobi disabled the craft's communications gear to prevent the craft from alerting the other invasion vessels to his presence. When he destroyed the gear using his lightsaber, battle droid squad 8313 was sent to investigate the disruption and they unlocked the door to the room to enter.[1]
The squad confronted Kenobi, and the young Jedi cut down all the droids in the squad. Kenobi then continued through door the squad had unlocked for him and ventured further inside the landing craft to disable its engines and force a landing.[1]

Battle droid squad 8313 appears in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Obi-Wan during the Stowaway mission. It is possible to avoid destroying all units of the squad during this mission.
